    Avatars not showing up after moving to file system

    Hello,
    I did the following and now Avatars aren't showing up:
    To move them to the filesystem, chmod your forums/customavatars and forums/customprofilepics directories to 777.
    Go to the AdminCP and expand the Avatars menu.
    Click User Picture Storage Type.
    Choose to Move Avatars and Profile Pics to the File System

    I did this, and now none of the avatars show up. I checked the customavatars folder and all of the files are in there. I also adjusted the avatar paths as necessary. When I right-click on the image that isn't appearing, the link to the image is correct, and the image exists, but the image doesn't show. Any ideas on correcting this? Thanks

      A link would help.

          Actually I meant a specific link to a user profile ot post with this avatar problem.

          To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

          Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

          [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

          Next, disable all plugins.

          Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

          define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

          Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

            I'm using an older version of vBulletin (3.6.7). I don't have the original files. Where can I get these, and which files in particular should I overwrite? All files except install.php and the images folder? Will I lose any data by doing this?

            Thanks.

            Edit: Problem solved. The URL to path was wrong. I tweaked with it a bit and now they work. Thanks for your time.
