I too would like to know this.

Given how many people have upgraded to UBB6 only to find they dislike it, I'm sure this is going to be a very important item in determing a switch to VB.

The only way this is going to work is if someone with a valid UBB 6.0 license works with Jelsoft to create an import script.

I have a valid UBB6 license, but I am not too host with PHP yet.

But if u need someone with a license for testing, then I can help - I haven't even got a site with UBB6 installed yet
(So I can set up one for testing)

We are running UBB 6.0 Beta 7.8 on our boards as well.

I was just thinking that it would be a very sound business decision to make an import script from UBB 6 to vB 2 ... Infopop changed their pricing scheme (like 10-fold increase for business use) with the release of UBB 6 beta, and many customers are currently looking into alternatives.

An import script to vB would be exactly the solution everyone needs.

            Just my 2c.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code...

An import script will be created but only after UBB 6.0 has stabilized and after version 2.0 is declared final.

I have one valid until March 20, 2001. But why can't someone from Jelsoft buy a UBB license and then use that to make an import script? It would also allow you to do any future versions.

                  Would they let Jelsoft?

They might not let them get a license, they aren't that stupid. They would know they were trying to steal customers.

I really doubt that jelsoft dosent already have access to the UBB members area. As james / john first started vB by porting there UBB script to PHP & MySQL.

Most ISPs have accounts with other ISPs - excellent way of seeing what the other is upto.

I have 1.1.5 installed as a backup to
UBB6 7.8 but i'm finding it (UBB) featureless!

Where as vBulletin 2.0 has everything I could want.

I think the time has come to change.

Any ideas of a time frame on version 2 being declared final?

Any ideas on making a jump to version 2 from UBB6 with out waiting on a script?
