I don't think this is illegal

EDIT: I messed up the tiltle... I mean, I don't think this is legal
I found an Invision Board Forum that has a complete copy of the vBulletin theme. They have the logo and everything. I'm not so sure this is legal.

Take a look at that to see where I found it.

this is not illegal, as the vbulletin software comes packaged with this theme built in.

I can't see how it is legal, for people to steal vBulletin's logos and use them on another forum softwhere even if they say that are by Jelsoft. Don't they say that you can't use them except on your vB software?

Oh it is illegal and frankly I don't see why someone would want to use the default vBulletin them. It it not like it is very appealing, just easy to customize.

It's probably just so they can feel their board is better than it is

Lol, um, better not start an argument of sorts anyway!

I think vBulletin should take some action and make the IBF people remove it.

Um, just because they're using an Invision Power Board doesn't make them "IBF people"

I know what you mean... but it makes it sound like Invision Power Board condones theft, which we don't

Well, they are not using vB but Invision Boards, but they are using illegal images stolen from vBulletin.
Also, even if they say some of the images are property of vB, they didn't get permission to use them.

I am trying to con a person into giving me the link to the site that they got the skin on. vB can at least threaten the site.

If they purchased a vBulletin board, they can use the graphics since it comes in the package. If I want, I can do this also.. and if vBulletin complains I can always send them an email with the license so they see I have the right to use their graphics.
In the license agreement, doesn't stipulate that you cannot use the graphics in another bulletin board as long as you have your license aquired.

I personally don't think someone would do this since VB is way better then IBF. For example Neowin.net were "forced" to use IBF instead of vBulletin because they are hosted by Invision, for free. A while back ago, I spoked with Neobond (Steve) and he told me that vBulletin was better then Invision and that they didn't like the way it is built, so they will keep running vBulletin.
I guess the free hosting convinced them to use IBF.
