Right, I installed this mammoth of an SP...it even has IE 6 SP1! Anyway, after doing this, on a lot of websites and forums I visit, some images don't load up! They're replaced by a broken image! I'm almost sure it's to do with the SP, however is there a fix to this problem?

Well you certainly arent the only one with SP1 probs. I'll try to dig up some links that may be of use for you. Some have no probs with it, others have had hell with it. I've not installed SP1 yet because its just too new and XP works fine and dandy as is, so I can wait a few more months. Same with W2K, still using SP2 here heh. -
Re: Problem with winXP SP1!!!
I've that problem as well. It bugged me so much that I reformatted my primary HD and reinstalled XP and SP1, and then it happened again.
I thought Microsoft would release a patch for it soon since it was an obvious and bothersome bug but they haven't. Instead released two security patches - go figures

Other than that i've had no problems with it. Infact, everything ran faster afterwards.Comment

I installed IE6 SP1 before I installed windows XP service pack 1 and it works fine. I think that may be the issue.
Also, is JavaVM installed? that MIGHT have something to do with it...
Change security settings to Low. See if that helps.
Maybe reserialize your copy of windows XP... i'm not going to say anything else on that but do a search on google and you'll know what i'm talking about.Comment

I've had the same experience as Chris: installed IE6 SP1, then XP SP1. Never noticed any real changes in XP or IE, including no broken images.--filburt1, vBulletin.org/vBulletinTemplates.com moderator

Are any of you running DAP ? (download accelerator)
I run a Tech forum, dealing mainly with XP issues, and this "images not showing up problem" in SP1 seems to only happen to users who have DAP installed.I can confirm this as i also have DAP installed.
Infact one of my Supermods has been in contact with the DAP makers,Speedbit, regarding this image glitch. But their support staff were useless.Last edited by Reverend; Sat 12 Oct '02, 7:23pm.Comment

by GrotesqueDear vBulletin Community,
Lately, I noticed that the Quote BB has a weird error. Everytime I try to quote a users post, instead of 'posted by <username>' it pops up random words like...-
