    Importing from UBB 6.2.0

    Hi,

I would like to know if you plan to make an importer for the version 6.2.0 of UBB soon. I just bought vBulletin and already have that version of UBB installed, and would like to move as soon as possible. I tried importing with the current UBB 6 importer, but it doesn't seem to work correctly, I guess they modified their databases on that version...

    Thanks for letting me know,

    Dje

UBB made changes (again) to their flat-file file structures so the importer will not work with 6.2.x. We are currently working on a new importer for it.

can you respond with a timeframe please? since your pages say that you offer import functionality for Infopop's Ultimate Bulletin Board software, without the addendum that you don't yet support the current version, I'd hope you can at least give me a timeline for the appearance of this utility.

        Thanks,

        Jeff

Please wait more than 2 hours before bumping your posts.

There is currently no ETA although it shouldn't be more than a week.

UBB is soooo broken, we are dying to use your product! We'll tell all our friends. I'll even pay you (or anyone who can help) an extra $100 for making it work.

As I said there currently is no ETA...repeatedly bumping your post isn't going to make it get finished any faster. If you want to comment on the situation please email [email protected] .

6.2.0 was a very quick release from infopop and had many changes you have to give them a little time to make the convertor, its not a easy thing to do. It takes alot of work to make sure its done proper, when i switched from UBB i started fresh as i was waiting for a importer that was not yet developed for my ver of UBB, its hard waiting but they are working on it.

                        True

After you have seen the best, it is hard to be patient. UBB is so broken it is hard to be patient.
