Installing on Liquid2k

Some of you may know Liquid2k for their banner-free webhosting. I'm using it now, and I want to setup VB on it, but when i run the installer, I get this error message:

Attempting to connect...

Warning: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO) in db_mysql.php on line 29

Warning: 0 is not a MySQL link index in db_mysql.php on line 37

What am I doing wrong? I followed the directions exactly, and it still doesn't work. I must've tried a million times, any help would be great.

Thanks a million,
Matt

My system details are as follows:
200mhz Pentium, 64MB RAM, 10GB HD
Webhost - Liquid2k
OS/Software - I run Win98SE, the server is UNIX based
PHP - ver3, I think it's running as an Apache mod
I have no idea about the MySQL version, because the webhost is free
here's the link to the board: http://www.liquid2k.net/keeperzone/board/index.php

well, the message is telling you that you do not have access to a database hosted locally on the server using the username root.

you need to get with Liquid2k and ask them for a db servername, a username and a password to access the database

Looking at the config of that server, I can't see it being able to handle any type of BB application well at all.
