I just upgraded from 3rc4 to 3.0! The New Thread button seems to be missing when I view froums (as well as others from different user groups), and I can't find out why. c.c The forums allow users to start new threads, and the usergroups also allow users to start new threads. I haven't ever edited anything having to deal with

        try that

Also please wait at least 24 hours before bumping a thread.

Thank you Zachery. That template wasn't modified at all. Why would the "Create new Thread" icon disappear? I just upgraded.

Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

                Solved!

The "New Thread" button disappears by design. If this annoys you, you may wish to consider my solution.

Why would it disappear by design? How are members supposed to create new threads?

First, I got the tarball and not the zip file. So, I got whatever was in the tarball on Friday when I downloaded it.

Second, the problem was in the SHOWTHREAD template, which seems to me to be unrelated to the version of showthread.php you are using.

At least, this is my impression of things.
