Yes, it's rare but more frequently I've been getting the 403s:

That one lasted through four refreshes. vB.org has been working fine.

My guess is they're upgrading something causing the chmods to go hey-hey.

I am getting this consistently, although this is the first time I've been to this site in a while. My guess is that it has something to do with POST vs GET requests, although I haven't looked in depth at when it happens. It happens everytime I change thread pages however, using Mozilla Firebird. This isn't a vbulletin problem, but rather an issue with their specific apache install.

Changing thread pages was the trigger for me, also.

Try not to hit the server too fast. It is probably blacklisting you.

It's automatic. If it thinks you're going too fast it will block you just in case

Yup, I usually open 10 threads (or more) at a time, and most of the times I get 1 or 2 forbidden errors. No big problem really. I simply refresh that page, and it works.

If you do this during a DDoS attack then you run the risk of getting your IP address added to our block list.

Well, I never seem to be able to get in during DDoS attacks anyway, but I'll keep that in mind
