    PM Question and Forum Question

Hi everyone. After running Gamma for a couple days, I've noticed a few things that I am wondering if I can change.

    1) In my PM area, when I go to reply to a PM, the only option I see is "Reply with a Quote". No just plain reply, like in previous versions of vBulletin. I know its not me, because another user commented on this as well.

    2) On the main forum index...after I view all the new posts in that forum, even when I return to the main index by clicking the forum logo, or "MIXX Forums Index" in the top, the "forum_new.gif" shows up, which makes me think I have new posts there, but when I go back to check, there arent any. This is a very minor annoyance, but any way around this?

    Thanks in advance.

Also, how do I set the maximum attachment size for a post to 1MB? I dont want to set a maximum limit that the users can have total, or a maximum for the server, but a maximum of 1mb per post.

    Thanks

Edit: I've edited all the attachment extensions to only allow 512kb, but it still says "Max: 2MB" next to the attach thing in every forum.

Also, it seems sometimes that whenever I close out of my browser and then re-open and I visit my forum index, it forwards me to a login page. Any way to make it not do this?

      Thanks

In regards to your last 2 posts mixx941, 1. The 2MB attachment limit is a bug and will be fixed for RC.
        2. The redirection to profile.php is also a bug and has been fixed for RC.. I believe the fix is in the bug tracker somewhere.

          On your first post:

          1. I dont believe there is a way to do this other then erasing the quote inside the PM..

          2. I noticed this as well, I have found a way to make it work though..

Lets say your forum is set like this

GENERAL (Category) --> general section (forum) --> Threads lsit.

After you have read all threads in the threads list.., click the link for General (Category), then go to the main page, now it will show as if there are no new posts...

Is there any possibility to adding it like in vBulletin 2? I really miss that feature.

It was nice to not have to always erase the quotes... Hopefully there will be a way to get around this....
