Where does the name Jelsoft come from?

Just curious - what are the origins of the name "Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd."?

So wait, it's JELSoft Enterprises Ltd. Software? Wouldn't that mean that you could expand that to JELSoft Enterprises Ltd. Software Enterprises Ltd. Software? And then you could, like, expand it again, but then I would get confused.

You can look at it either way (James E Limm Software or Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. Software) but to answer your question, having a recursive name is fairly popular these days...

          For example:

GNU stands for 'GNU is Not Unix'
PHP stands for 'PHP Hypertext Processor'

The names are called recursive acronyms.
