Just a small point; wouldn't it be better if the members area (http://members.vbulletin.com) was secure?

At the moment https://members.vbulletin.com takes you to the home page.

I'm hoping to get that done once, but I'm not sure when we'll get around to it.

Also, there are some issues we'd need to try to work around first as well, one being that downloads from secure sites can cause issues in some versions of IE.

That causes more issues though, IE and other browsers issue warnings when the content or security changes.

pointless to use httpS if you have a authentication engine like vBulletin to deal with it... that's why vBulletin have a performing engine anyway, so having the site under https would make the entire vB auth system pointless.

LOL, secure stops packet sniffing as well as everything sent is in clear text (both ways) and also allows you the user to verify the site is what it says it is as bought certs need to be verified before you are issued with them for things like company and phone number etc so you know its more then likely to be the *real* jelsoft.

I would too like the members area to be secure but I understand it could be complex esp with multiple servers/ip's running the site (if you do)

I *hope* to secure my login part at some point but there are a fair few issues for us.
