    hiding online status

Is it possible for each individual user to choose to hide his/her online status (such as is available on phpBBs)? I have searched prior threads and seen that it can be turned off globally, but I'm wondering if there is an option available for each individual user to turn online status on or off.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

There should be a way to do it, possibly turn it on globally and set it so it asks the user to hide online status? there must be a control for that..

        Thanks, Steve.

Our organization has not set up vBulletin yet (we're currently on Community Server), but we will be moving to vBulletin in the very near future. I couldn't find any information about that and wanted to ask. That is very important for some of our forum members.

        Thanks!

Also, I'm subscribed to this thread with instant e-mail notifications. I received an e-mail when hitmancode47 responded, but I didn't receive one with your response. (I just checked my spam folder, and it's not in there.) Any idea why it didn't send an e-mail notification?

You only get one email for the next response, not for each one.

Is there a way to get an e-mail for every response?

The available email options are to receive:

              - an email on the next new post in a thread the member has subscribed to, and no more email until the members logs in.
              - a daily digest of new posts in a forum they have subscribed to
              - a weekly digest of new posts in the forum

There is no option for members to sign up get emails of all new posts. There is an option in the Admin CP to enter several email addresses (no more that 255 characters in total) to receive posts for each new post in a forum. And you can set it up so Moderators get an email with every new post in the forums they moderate.

Thanks, Steve. We look forward to migrating to vBulletin.

Is there any way that you know of where we can convert our existing Community Server messages and files to vBulletin?
