Computer Chat The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

Okay for the last week or so I keep getting the following error intermittently when browsing the internet, and it's really becoming irritating now. Here's the error message in question:
    --------------------------------------------------------

    Connection Interrupted

    The document contains no data.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

    --------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone know why this is occuring and how I can sort this out. I have problems with pages loading in IE also in the same kind of way, but this seems to be a firefox-only error message. In IE pages just hang or load only partially.

Images often don't show up as well, in both browsers (IE and Firefox)

Thanks so much in advance for any help you could provide.

edit; also, the alt tag text for images on sites often shows, but not the image itself.

This isn't really a computer support forum. You would probably have better results if you visited one of them. The error message is pretty self-explanatory though.

Well I've tired Google and no luck. The error isn't 'self-explanatory' to me, which is why I asked.

I thought it might be worth a try, that's all.

It means that your network connection to that server was cancelled for one reason or another.

No way anyone can tell you. We don't have any of the facts. What server were you connecting to? What was your packet loss at the time? Where there any power outages between you and the server? Are you on a dynamic IP address? etc...

It could be any one of a thousand different reasons.

I'm getting that same message more and more often and my paranoid mind says it must relate somehow to issues of net neutrality. What were you trying to access?

Once or twice I had this message because of a corrupt SSL certificate.

                        Maybe this will help

Hey guys. I was experiencing the same problem anf solved it straight away after restarting my modem. Simply turn off for a minute and connect again.
                        Hope this helps

The same here. I've often found otherwise unexplained network errors can be solved by either restarting your wireless router (if you have one) or your cable/DSL modem directly.

Alternatively, if you're using a dynamic IP address, disconnect the connection to your computer, as you'll then be assigned a new one. This can solve issues, too.

It's one of those errors that can mean hundreds of different things.
