Does this mean the issue with passwords not importing correctly has been resolved? I tried to convert from phpBB3 in early February and had a number of issues, that being the worst. Thanks!Comment

No. phpBB3 passwords will not import because they are encrypted.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

That's the one problem, and has always been the problem. It uses a different encryption hash in comparison to nearly every other piece of software on the internet. vBulletin, a-like many other software, uses MD5 Hashing to encrypt it's passwords; MD5's cannot be reverse-manufactured. Neither can phpBB3's custom hashing method, but because it's custom, it means that no other script can tap it's user table.-- David.

This used to be a nice place; what the hell's gone wrong?Comment
