Minimal search term length

It would be great to reduce the minimum search term lenght from 4 to 3 characters. Reason:

XML, RSS, etc.

The Devs have said they will do this at some point in the future but because of the downtime required this will disrupt access to these forums for an extended period. Therefore they are waiting for the appropriate time to make this change. Sorry for the inconvenience.
