How do I determine the user id

I am not a programmer of any sorts, so please respond kindly.

I am using Logician's Webtemplates. A terrific add on.

I do not know any php, but do OK with cold fusion.

This is a cold fusion page that runs just fin inside of a php page.
I want to build a rather complicated cold fusion tool, and one of the items I need to get is the user id.

For instance, in cold fusion when a user logs in and authenticated, you can store a session variable that can be pulled off of any page they visit.

Is there a similar way to read the user id from a vB page? If there are any cold fusion folks out there, please feel free to chime in.

It'd be $bbuserinfo[userid] which houses the userid.

I usually go to the admincp and search for the user, it has the userid mentioned there too.

Or quickly .. go to the who's online and hover over the username. Their userid is in the url in the status bar of the browser.
