vBulletin Project Tools Update / Private Beta Applications

Today, we have retired the old vBulletin Bug Trackers. In place of the current three separate bug trackers, vBulletin.com is now running the trackers on a single installation of the new vBulletin Project Tools.

The project tools are nearly feature complete, though there are some minor interface tweaks still to be made. If you wish to do some testing please do so in the Testing Stuff Project.

    Project Tools Features
    • Unlimited admin-definable issue types per project (eg: bugs, features, tasks etc.)
    • Extensive searching capabilities with sorting and grouping options
    • Ability to save search parameters to generate reports
    • Ability to subscribe to issues to track their progress and receive notification of updates
    • Issue lists can be viewed both in a sortable tabular form, or in a timeline style
    • Issue status, priority, assigned users etc. can be changed instantly using AJAX technology without visiting an edit page. Video
    • Issues can be voted upon - useful for gauging interest in a feature or the number of people affected by a bug etc.
    • Issues can be both categorised and tagged to aid in searching and sorting. Video
    • Issues can have files attached
    • A special 'patch' attachment type exists, which will display a human-readable patch diff
    • Calendar Widget for easy selection of dates. Video
    Beta Testing
We'd also like to take this opportunity to begin taking applications for the private beta testing program for both the Project Tools and the Blog, customers interested in applying can complete the form here. We will notify those people selected to participate in the program by email in the near future. Please do not be offended if you are not chosen to participate - we are looking for a wide variety of different testing environments, and not everyone will qualify.

Many thanks for your continuing support. Further announcements about the ongoing development of Project Tools and Blog are forthcoming - look out for feature lists, screenshots and more videos... coming soon!
