That's slightly modified language pack from PL - Polish language packs 3.5.4 adapted to work with vB 3.6.x.
I hope there won't be any problems with this version.

Sorry if this is a very stupid question, but here it goes;

If I install the Polish language pack and a poster posts in Polish, will somehow vB translate the post into English to English users?

nooooo.
But it's possible to create such hack thich will pipe post to translator and then post output in english. Such hack could even work very well but only in one direction cause polish is much more complex and meaning of a word doesn't change deppend on context of whole sentence (in general).

About year ago I've spoken with one guy who was very interested in such hack. If that is VERY important I can find his email and ask his if he did it....

I undestand Patrick that poles appear on your forum in last 2 year in big numbers so that is a reason why u ask about it, right ?

Yes, Ireland has had a major influx of Polish citizens over the last 2/3 years. So much so that they even have their own news paper & some of our national news papers publish a Polish section for their community So I would like also to facilitate them too.

I see "Cork" in your profile, are you Irish? or working in Ireland?

Hello, I have installed Polish language on vbulletin 3.6.8 and I have problems with some polish letters(some leters are replaced with "?"). I try to convert the xml file from ISO-8859-2 to UTF-8 but the problem still remains. There is something I have to do to make this letters appear properly?
Please don't answer in polish because i don't know the language.

I just ran into this problem myself. I very much appreciate the work that's been done so far, but the phrases that contain characters that do not exist in ISO-8859-1 seem to by confusing my setup. I've tried to set up my board to be all UTF-8, would it be possible to get an xml file that is created in UTF-8 instead of ISO-8859-1?

If you open the xml file in an editor, you'll notice that the first line is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

I think the problems start from there...


Anyway, I also downloaded the Polish buttons from that thread and very much appreciate the creation of those as well.
