Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November in the US. Will this be automatic with vBulletin or will we have to adjust our times?

I was told, "DST changes are prompted using javascript that feeds off the user's OS time settings." So it's not vBulletin or the server, but rather the client's computer.Comment

I was stopping in to look at this as well... I am no expert in this but from what you are saying I should be able to change the date in my windows CP and that would impact the TIMENOW function that us used to define the time and date used in the forums?
I really doubt this is correct...
I also am pretty confident that Daylight savings is a date function called in vBulletin as we have the ability to turn this on or off... Being off by one hour is not a huge deal I guess but I do expect that there is an issue here!Comment

Only the DST of guests is controlled by the DST setting in the Admin CP. The automatic switching ability is handled by javascript.Comment

Logged in as a member through Internet Explorer 6, vbulletin is showing:All times are GMT -8. The time now is 01:16 AM.For Los Angeles, the World Clock at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ is showing:
3:16 AMwhich is the correct time, that I just now changed my clock on the wall to.

Yeah I have some problems here as well. My VB is showing exactly 1 hour offset, even though the system it is running on is showing the correct date. I know that we are running behind on our version of MySQL and PHP, so I'm assuming that the problem lies in some built in PHP DST table. We had a similar issue with some Java applications. The JVM had built in DST tables that needed to by manually patched.
So either MySQL is borked or PHP is borked, or both. I was hoping there was an easy way to patch PHP without rebuilding.Comment

vBulletin is statingwhen in fact I am in GMT -5... So it seems to think that I've switched to a new time zone.All times are GMT -4. The time now is 6:26am .
I guess an update will be needed to fix this??Comment

It's not in effect yet so it seems.
My systems say it is 11:28 now, and the clock in the kitchen which I have to manually change is also still 11:28.
And vBulletin.com footer has: All times are GMT +1. The time now is 11:26am. Seems to match up just fine.Comment

I figured 3.6.5 being it was released so close to the new DST update would have fixed this.
Doesn't vB control the date shown to users based on the time zone setting in the User CP > Edit Options?Comment

The date/time is controlled by the os, not by vBulletin. vB uses the system variables from the os browsing and the os serving to display times/dst, etc. 3.6.5 wasn't released to fix the dst change.Comment
