Everyone gets this error message, i can not log into the Admin CP.

I just reinstalled VB from 3.6.1 ---? 3.6.2

I have already reinstalled the forums, it worked for 1 minute before this problem happened again.

You're the first with this problem. It is really strange that it works and then every single login gets corrupted. As if someone is actually changing or something is corrupting the content of that single field in the user table of the database.

Please note that with installing you loose data. Install = start over from scratch.

Did you have any plugins running?

Ok. Let's continue solving the problem in the ticket to avoid confusion. I found the ticket in our system.

apart from that, i cant think of any other plugins installed. left column ? dont think that would be problem.

My situation is this, i was hosting fine on another server, my forum was 3.6.1 .......

I closed the forum, i backed up the Database.

then last night i upgrade to a new server, i installed all the 3.6.2 files and did the upgrade. So my forum was 3.6.2 .

I changed my DNS after installing the server AND upgrading the Forum.

All links worked fine, although the LDM modification was not working properly. Apart from that everything ran smoothly for some time. Then i noticed i could not log in. and it gave me the error above. Infact once it even said that i have logged in 6 times out of 5 allowed attempts, which i thought was really odd.

So i did everything again, this time i made a new folder called it forum2 and installed all files.

everything was fine again, but just for 2 mins.

So im puzzled at what the problem could be, its stressed me out. So am sorry but just was frustrated as i have nobody to help me.

Ok i sent you some info now, we will deal with this through the tickets

I am really wondering if the upgrade was done 100% correctly, because this obviously shouldn't happen. Perhaps the domain and IP got confused because you did upgrade on new server, while dns were still pointing to the old one. Perhaps the database connections got mixed up somehow. Very hard to tell.

Personally I'd revert to the backup that had no problems, make sure the domain points to the right IP and make sure the computer is forced to use that ip / domain combination. Then run 3.6.2 upgrade, while plugins are disabled.

right now, after handling the support ticket it looks like it is working.

You mention that you are running these modifications:
* VBA Cmps
* ldm links
* downloads manager
* arcade
* left column

Any one of these could be the cause of the problem.
