Forum very slow after upgrade from 3.5.3 to 3.6.0

My forum has become very slow after today's upgrade. When I look at what is taking a lot of resources it's always the showthread.php.

Any idea what would be different from before? Is the index being rebuild maybe? I was hoping to see a performance gain with more Ajax around, but this is going the opposite way.

Are you rebuilding something?

Not really. I ran the rebuild for threads and forums after having the last post links no longer working after the upgrade. But both completed. I am still looking at gathering more data.

I was just wondering if the existing index is being rebuild and repopulated maybe after the upgrade?
