A few people say they get this error message when they register.

Warning: mktime() expects parameter 4 to be long, string given in /register.php on line 388

To troubleshoot this, remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

I'm a PHP developer and looking at the code, it looks like it's expecting some birthday input when the user registers. Try registering on my site and see for yourself. To me it looks like a bug because if there isn't any birthday checking, it wouldn't need to use the mktime function.

Did you try my suggestion to see if this happens with the original vB code?

How can I? I don't have any hacks or pluggins and I used the Tarball.

Did you look at line 388 of register.php? Looks like I found a bug.

If you believe there is a bug then please post this in the 3.5 Bug Tracker so a Dev can have a look.

Is there a fix to this problem? I'm having the same problem. New user registrations receive- "mktime() expects parameter 4 to be long, string given in /register.php
                    on line 388 "

                    Thanks,
                    Scott

but it seems to only be on some accounts and not others

Maybe one of the files was not uploaded correctly. Reupload all the original vB 3.5.4 non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.
