Trying to upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.5.1... error...

I already had 3.0.7 installed, so I uploaded all the files in the "upload" folder except for "install\install.php." After the uploading was done, I went to http://www.NAME.com/forum/install/upgrade.php. This is what I got...

    Database error in vBulletin :

mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
    /home/juicie/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 273

    MySQL Error :
    Error Number :
    Date : Wednesday, November 30th 2005 @ 07:36:34 PM
    Script : http://www.sonyplex.com/forum/install/upgrade.php
    Referrer :
    IP Address : 67.80.105.77
    Username :
    Classname : vB_Database

PLEASE help. I need to get this installed by tonight, if not latest tomorrow.

Been there, done that. I tried reuploading upgrade.php, too. Now I dropped all the tables in SQL and now reuploading them... taking a while to read_dump...

EDIT: Btw, if I were to reinstall a fresh copy of 3.5, would all my posts and threads be there if I still have my database? I would have to reinstall all my mods and stuff though, right?

The most likely cause of this error is that the info in your config.php file is wrong. Please read this for all the known causes of this error:

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)
