    why is remember me turned on by default?

    Think about it for a sec.
    A user pointed it out to me.

    Users that wants to be remembered, only has to check the remember me ONCE. And that's the first time they are on the site.

    However, users that doesnt want to be remembered, has to uncheck it EVERYtime they go to the site.

    I can't see the point in why remember me is checked by default?

    And how do I make it unchecked by default?

    That's actually a pretty good point.

    I'll change it for RC3.

      Woah, i never thought it of it like that.

      But who'd want to go through the hassle of logging in every time, unless they have multiple accounts. (or on a shared comp, i suppose)

          I've logged in from other computers outside of my own home computer when I need to access something right away, and can't wait to get home, so that would be why I login every time.

          On my home computer, that doesn't happen though; keep myself logged in all the time.
          Congratulations on the death of vBulletin, Internet Brands.

            I use public work stations all the time when I'm at school. I'm happy this is getting changed because it is anoying have to un-check it everytime I log in

              Open up the navbar, standard_error and standard_error_lite templates and find:
              Code:
              <input type="checkbox" name="cookieuser" value="1" tabindex="3" id="cb_cookieuser_navbar" accesskey="c" checked="checked" />
              replace it with:
              Code:
              <input type="checkbox" name="cookieuser" value="1" tabindex="3" id="cb_cookieuser_navbar" accesskey="c"/>
              Done.

                Yeah it doesn't make much sense to keep it ticked.

                    Actually you need to make this change in three templates:

                    navbar
                    standard_error
                    standard_error_lite
