    Weird Characters Upon Installation

I had this problem with vb 3.5 BETA 1. I finally got it working, but didn't plan on upgrading until Gold and deleted it. Today I decided I wanted to play with vb 3.5 RC2. So I upload it, run through the install, get done and get this www.supportcore.org/testvb/ . The admin cp is completely blank.

Here is the link to the thread when I had this problem with BETA 1: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...e+eaccelerator

I have reuplaoded the files in ASCII. eAccelerator is no longer enabled as well. I have tried installing three times.

Note: My testvb directory is unprotected since, there is nothing there and I need help fixing it. If I need to password protect and give the pass to one of the team please tell me.

Everything shows up fine for me. Are you still having a problem?

      Yes.

All squiggly characters. I have cleared my cache and ahrd refreshed...I'm using latest Firefox build.

A sample of what I see:

      /N÷kKVªóÿ™

And when viewing with IE it asks me if I want ot download the index.php instead of letting me view it.

Since I don't see the problem, it's difficult to help. Maybe someone else can take a look and confirm this.

I checked it out and can confirm the "squiggly characters":

I cant seem to copy/paste it here though for some reason...

It does the same for FF and IE, and in IE it asks me to d/l and save the page whenever I visit it.... very strange.

I d/l the file (named testdb ... thats it... no extension) and its just all the squiggly stuff I see on the page...

I'm using WinXP SP1 and IE6 + the latest version of FF.

Steve, may I ask what you're using?

                MGM out

                    I'm using IE6 and FF 1.0.6.

Try disabling the GZIP option in vBulletin Options to see if this helps.

Just confirming that I also see the random characters, FF1.0.6

Bizare. Even images aren't being transmitted correctly, though it seems to have gotten it's size correct.

I see random text also. Changes on each refresh.
