I'm not familiar with that imported but does it ask for a location of the attachments?

It finds 'some but not all'? I'm afraid I don't understand. If the directory is correct and the files are undamaged, it should import everything that is there.

This sounds like bad files to tell the truth. Is your SMF forum still up and running?

How many files are found and how many not imported ?

I can't import attachments from SMF either

Was this problem ever resolved? It's happening to me, too. I give it the path for the attachments but the import fails.

If you can answer the same question that Jerry posted above it would be appreciated.

The log messages flash past me so quickly that I can't see them. Are these viewable somewhere?

After it finishes, it says 0 attachments imported, 47 attachments failed to import.

Then either they are all missing or the path is incorrect.

Neither of these is true. I can see the files in the directory in my FTP program, and I copied and pasted the path from within SMF. I can see the attachments in SMF, so the path is correct and the files exist.

These attachments are actually avatars. SMF puts custom avatars in the attachments directory. Could this be relevant somehow?

What is shown as a path by a FTP client and what the actual local file system path can be two diffrent things.

Avatars and attachments are two diffrent things, one is linked to the user and the SMF importer dosn't import avatars atm, the other is linked to posts.

I suggest starting a support ticket and asking for me so I can figure out what the local path is.
