    Category has a background image

How can I add a background image to categories? The attachment is an example of what I want.

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Main CSS (in the menu)

Edit the Background attribute of the Category Strips class. The default style already has the code for a background image:

    Code:
    #869BBF url([color=red]images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif[/color]) repeat-x top left
Change the image path to point to your image, or upload your image in place of images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif

What is the width of your forums?

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars -> Main Table Width

Make the image the same width as your forums. If you use a percentage for your forum width then the best solution is to let the image repeat... otherwise you need to make it wide enough to fit all screen resolutions (width of 1600 is probably good).

Make it tall enough so it covers the height of the category strip on the online.php page - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/online.php

Most users ever online was Z, Month Day Year at Time.

That is the tallest instance of a category strip that I can find.
