    Moderating New Registrations (split)

We just went LIVE yesterday, having been with EzBoard.

I *thought* I had it set up so that I had to approve membership.
I did a test on me when we had three former banned members show up on the new board.

    I went to my .com
    I hit register
I filled it out, and had the email sent to my personal account
I got the email, followed the link and clicked on it.
AND GOT IN WITH COMPLETE ACCESS
and on top of that, there was NO notification of anyone waiting to be let in when I put my admin clothes back on.

This is VERY bad for us.

Your thread was split from the original so we could concentrate on each person's issue separately.

Have you installed any hacks (including portals) or added any code to the headinclude, header or phpinclude templates? If not, fill out a support ticket at:

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP, phpMyAdmin and FTP. If you have installed hacks or added code, then remove the hacks first then check and see if you still have this problem. If so, leave the default vB files in place and fill out the support request.

        Ok....

        Steve,

I had vBadvanced installed, installed by one of the guys on their web site. And my vBulletin was installed by vBulletin...so, with that being said, since it is a portal installed, what do you want me to do?

guess you'd have help by vB team already, but you could still check:

          - AdminCP/vBulletin Options/Registration/Moderate New Members
make sure this option set to YES

          - AdminCP/UserGroupmanager
          check permissions for group UserAwaitingModeration

We can't provide official support for hacked forums. Try what mtha said. But if you still have this problem and want our help, you'll need to remove all hacks and restore the original vB files.
