Reupload the original php filesfrom the vB zip file. Make sure you upload in ASCII and overwrite the one on the server.
If after this you still have this problem, create a text file with this content:

phpinfo();

Ok i'm kinda new at this... how do know if I am uploading in ASCII? Do you want me to re-upload everything?Comment

Yes, reupload all the original vB php files. You will need to check your FTP client to make sure they are uploaded in ASCII.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

I'm 99% certain that your PHP needs to be com[piled with this switch:
'--with-xml'
Ask your host to recomplie it with this support.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

I talked to my host and they told me to put the line "dl("xml.so");" above "<?php" to recompile to xml. So I did that on the file named "install.php". Do I need to do this to other files to?Comment
