Is there any way to set the board to always default to a specific time zone?

My users are generally from the same time zone. Is there anyway that I can default guests and new users to a specific time zone other than GMT?

Edit your registeradult and registercoppa template, and move selected to that timezone.

See FireFly's post. You simply move selected to Pacific Time line.

Yes, Steve, I did that, which is where I started on this little quest. And that works fine, it was *such* an obvious answer I hadn't even thought of it! Duh!

However, I want guests to see it in PT, too.

I even went looking to see if there was a 'guest' entry in the user list that I could modify from the control panel.

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear -- blame it on the drugs. :Grin:

Ah ok. I belive you need to hack one of the PHP files for that. Do a search in the Hacks forum for it. If I find it, I'll post it here.

sessions.php, find this line:

  $bbuserinfo['timezoneoffset']=0;

change to:

  $bbuserinfo['timezoneoffset']=-5;

or whatever PT is.
