Some of my users are reporting errors when posting new messages.
1. Hit 'post new message' or 'reply'
2. Fill in text
3. Submit post
4. Error saying 'no thread specified'
Me:
>Could you try this?
>Hit "user control panel" at the top of the forums
>Click "Edit options"
>Under "Browse board with cookies", change this to "YES" rather than "NO".
Them:
>>Unfortunately it was already set to yes. I tried it with no but still the same error occured. I also tried the log on option off but it made no difference.<<
...or, a second user...
Now, both these users are using the same corporate computer system (albeit in different places) which uses MSIE5.5 and Microsoft Internet Proxy (I think).
What are we/they doing wrong?
