    Here is the generated HTML, if it helps:

    <font face="verdana, arial, helvetica" size="2" ><b>My Name</b></font><br>
    <font face="verdana,arial,helvetica" size="1" >My Title</font><br>
    <img src="avatar.php?userid=1&dateline=998615847" border="0" alt=""><p>

    Is this the way it should be? HTML for the avatars added normally comes out like this:

    <font face="verdana,arial,helvetica" size="1" >Royal Advisor</font><br>
    <img src="images/avatars/Human Males/Human Male 064.jpg" border="0" alt=""><p>

      Do you have hack 'Custom Avatars as Files' installed?

          So it must be (see above), if these hack (Custom Avatars as Files) is not installed. I think, avatar am not displayed, because it could not become uploaded on the server (stored). Do you have only the hack installed or also vB again installed or directories deleted/created?

              Install problem

              5. Open the template "modifyavatar"

              >>> Search for:
              erm..excuse me for being stupid - but where is this template? Me using 2.0.3. I ran sqltodos.php and this has made changes to the avatar control page - but I can't add new avatar categories at the moment. Is this because I need to complete the rest of the installation?

              Thanks.

                Here you come to the Template: vB CP -> Templates -> Edit -> [expand list] (on right side) -> Click on [expand] behind 'User Option Templates'. The first entry under it is the Template ' modifyavatar '.

                The execution of sqltodos is not sufficient. You must to be executed the installation completely as in " installation.txt " described. eg: Upload files, modify index.php, modify member.php, add templates, modify template ....

                  Half-works!

                  Thanks for that pointer - now carried out all the changes in the .txt apart from the ones marked 'CSS/Jump menu only'.

                  I still have the situation as yesterday though, that clicking 'modify' in the Avatars/Categories section takes me to what appears the right page .. then I click through to the uncategorised Avatars, and that's fine too .. but there's a text 'link' near the bottom that says 'New Avatar Category'. This isn't in fact a link and clicking it does nothing. I need to reate new categories in order to put my avatars in them, so any idea how I can fix this or why that link isn't working?

                  Thanks!

                    Problem...

                    When I run the sqltodos.php, it returns a blank gray page. No tables where created in the database.

                    ?????

                    (using v2.0.3)

                      Do you get however the following message:
                      "Start with changes on SQL-Database (add tables, records and fields) ...... yes / no"

                        What occurs, if you click in CP on the left side (under 'Avatars / Categories') on 'Add'? Over these link the new categories are created.

                            Hmm. I experimented somewhat. However to no solution came. Did you store and did start sqltodos.php there in the admin directory?

                              It started and when I hit submit, it went to a grey page. Yes, sqltodos.php is in the admin directory.

                                I am somewhat helpless.
                                Try please the following: Use the attached file, copy it (sqltodos.php in zip-archiv) also into the admin directory and execute it. Proceed exactly the same, like otherwise also. Tell me please afterwards, what you see as the latter. For example 'SirSteve: test output xx'. Thanks for your preparatory work Do I talk complicated? Sorry...

                                @SirSteve: Sorry! Error fixed.
