Renaming admincp and modcp directories

    Renaming admincp and modcp directories

    The installation instructions suggest that you might want to rename the admincp and modcp directories to something else, for security purposes. They say that you will have to rename directories when you do this, near the end of installation. So, I did this. Unfortunately the link to "admin" at the bottom of the main forums page still points to "admincp". So if you click on it, you'll get "page not found".

    I cannot be completely sure, but I think I followed the instructions exactly. So, this seems like a bug -- if you follow the installation instructions, you end up with a bad link. Perhaps the installation instructions need to be augmented, or the link needs to be automatically fixed.

        those threads link in a loopy to this one again and back forward etc.

        they fixed it, $admincpdir in the template 'footer' will fix it.
