i don't like vbportal that much. i messed with it for a long time. all the file and db mods seem unnecessary. take my site for example. it consists of one database mod (extra table for the shoutbox... not intrusive) and a block of code added to global.php for the welcome box stuff. everything else is done with templates which is within the feature set of vbulletin. K.I.S.S.

though, my minicalendar is is from vbportal. it was released as a separate hack from wajones... so i have to give vbportal some credit.
