    Last Post Date Bug

    I installed the PM stats hack and noticed it flagged a couple users Last post as:

    1969-12-31 19:00:00

    Well, I started to look at all my new registrations (I have verify email ON and moderate) and guess what? ALL new signups, until they post, have THIS date for their last post!

    Looks like a bug.

    I installed clean V2.0.

    Ed has all my info for my server so....

      I should probably respond to this thread as I did to the other one. I've also noticed this, on my Forums, however, it's been like that ever since I moved my forums from UBB to vBulletin.

      Back when I installed Tubedogg's Upgraded Community Bulletin Generator hack, I noticed that all the dates for thread posts, etc., were all screwed up and most of them had 1969 dates. Tubedogg pointed me to a thread containing a script that was supposed to alleviate the date problem for users who imported from UBB. The script worked for his hack (LOL) but not the rest of my forums. So....I'm not sure what the problem is, but it sounds like a fair number of us share the same. I'm curious, those of you having the same problems, did you all import from UBB?

          I think I find it!

          Check out if your users as well got only 0 or 1 posts. For me it fits it! All users with 0 or 1 post got this date for last post!

            It is just when they have ZERO posts.

            Again, EVERY user has this erroneous date until they post one time.

            Is someone going to respond to this from the vB team? I think it should definitely be moved to the bug forum.

              Maybe we can put something like this into it (will do so for my hack):
              PHP Code:
              if($lastpost == 0) {
              $lastpost "never posted before";

              What do you think?

                  Freddie,

                  The only place I see the 1969 date is in various fields in and around the Admin CP. I have never found it in a user's profile.

                    So what are we talking about exactly here? I am sure you may see the 1969 date in the user cp in places (indicates that user has no date, i.e. has never posted) but is anyone saying it occurs in the forum that users can see?

                        Argh, now I'm confused. I'll be quiet about the 1969 dates since I have more important problems like trying to install vBulletin for my company.

                        Freddie, if you get a chance, please jump over to the Installation Forum and look for my thread which should be near the top entitled Installation Problems. I'm not sure what else to do and Ed has tried to help, but his suggestions haven't worked either. Any insight you could provide would be great!

                          Freddie is right

                          It doesn't show up in the user profiles...only in the CP for admin.

                            That date = 0. Seriously, that's the unix epoch.

                            I'd MUCH rather have that date displayed in the CP so it's easy to change. It'd be a big pain if we had to delete the word "never" and type in a date attempting to get the format right based on other boxes.
