    User activity stats

Do these numbers include only users that are "logged in" or does it include guests as well?

You'll have to be more specific about which numbers you mean. Some of the numbers in the bottom of the front page include guests, and some don't.

Not the "bottom of the page" numbers. I'm talking about the User Activity statistics in AdminCP.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this is unique IP addresses. It can't be registered members because the number is far too high for my forums.

If its unique IPs, then it could be way off since most major ISPs use dynamic IP allocation. The same physical user could come in over multiple IPs at different times over the course of a day.

So would it not make sense to look in the "last activity" field in the database to determine how many registered users are actually active for the current day?

                  That seems reasonable.

                    This query:
                    Code:
                    SELECT count( * )
                    FROM `user`
                    WHERE `lastactivity` >1117771200
returns 1592. (The number is June 3, midnight, EDT)
                    My adminCP shows:
                    Unique Members Today 1,594

                    Close enough.

                    Conclusion:
The number displayed in the Admin CP is the number of unique registered users that have visited.

Sorry, where in 3.0.7 does it show these active users numbers?

It's in the Admin CP when you have Quick Stats turned on.

There is no option to see the list of these members.
