The manual seems to do a good job of describing the features and settings of vBulletin, but it does a poor job of describing how to go about tailoring one's forum. Maybe the manual wasn't meant for that. If not, then what is sorely needed is a user's guide for setting up the look and feel of one's forum.
Such a guide, for example, would explain how to remove the "vBulletin" logo header at the top and replace with your own header and logo. (That's something I haven't figured out how to do yet.) Then the next step might be how to change the colors in the style manager, complete with graphical images showing how changing one setting affects the look of the forum. (I'm still at a loss trying to do this.)
My particular forum should be very simple to set up. I only want ONE style that I plan to customize with my choice of colors that users will not be able to change. I don't need to create several different styles at all. So this should be a simple set up, yet I'm struggling trying to do what should be a relatively simple task with the scant information here.
I searched online for helpful materials and found a book called "vBulletin: A User Guide": http://www.bookpool.com/sm/1904811671
But I don't want to pay $30 for a user guide that should be supplied by Jelsoft for purchasers of vBulletin.
So I ask, is there a user guide somewhere, or a source of information, where I can turn to for personalizing my forum with the available features and options?
TIA
