I have searched and read and searched. I am trying to install a "test" forum for this new beta 6 but I am having (so far) 2 pages with all white/blank pages. I see that many others have the same issues and the same replies have been givedn and none have seemed to work, but I tried them anyways.
Just a note, this is a fresh, non-upgraded version on a fresh new folder (password protected as per terms) and new database
When I try to upload an avatar from a remote link, the page goes all white. If i browse to it, it works fine. I know you will ask, so
file_uploads: On
open_basedir: None
safe_mode: Off
upload_tmp_dir: None
upload_max_filesize: 50.00 MB
No errors occurred while opening the uploaded file for reading.
Also, if i select Recaptcha as verification, once a person pressed submit to create an account, page goes white as well (I have since solved this, but I have to use ImageMaggik and normal verification image. (GD does not show up either on 3.7.0 but does on 3.6.4, maybe a seperate or related issue?)
The weird thing is my heavily modded 3.6.4 install works perfectly in regards to uploads (from link and browse) and image verification.
I have followed all the steps here:
Done, all check out, and also uploaded files 5 times now.
I have reuploaded and double checked the config file and have checked each line individually and no white spaces or extra lines exist.
Done, and I have also added:
ini_set('display_errors', true);
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
ini_set('memory_limit', -1);
DEFINE('NOZIP', 1);
This is not this issue, as everything else works and the install went fine.
This is a new install so no code added at all and magic quotes are not on in phpinfo, feel free to check, the phpinfo is activated:
Folder user: test
Folder pass: test
tried it multiple times, also created a new style with no parent, used that, no luck, uploaded tools.php and reuploaded style.xml and reinstalled default and also did not work.
Code is off, line was added (see above), and ran both queries individually.
display-errors is on and I have the line added already
According to phpinfo, it is not installed. and as per Diagnostics:
Suhosin
Module Loaded No
----------------------------------
Again, everything works fine on 3.6.4 on same server.
Tried the template/clear cache/re-try nothing.
Attachemts on 3.7.0 b6 work fine, but just the avatar and recaptcha issue. I can deal with no recaptcha, but the avatar thing is bugging me big time.
vbulletin was never this picky before.

I have followed all the steps here:
Code:
1. You did not upload the vB files correctly. Reupload the vB non-image files and make sure you upload these in ASCII format and that you overwrite the ones on the server. Make sure you upload the Admin CP files to the admincp directory specified in your config.php file. Then, if you can access the Admin CP, run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version: [B]Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions [/B] Do any show as 'File does not contain expected contents', 'version mismatch' or missing? If so, you need to reupload the original vB non-image files. Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.
Code:
2. You have extra space or lines in your config.php file. Make sure there is no whitespace or extra lines in config.php either before the <?php or after the ?>. [Note: Beginning with 3.6.3 the trailing ?> was removed.]
Code:
4. You have a bad plugin installed. To disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
ini_set('display_errors', true);
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
ini_set('memory_limit', -1);
DEFINE('NOZIP', 1);
Code:
5. The servername setting in config.php is wrong. Doublecheck this setting. 99% of the time, 'localhost' is correct: $config['MasterServer']['servername'] = 'localhost';
Code:
6. Your PHP has magic_quotes_sybase turned on. You have to turn this off. On *nix systems you can do this by creating an .htaccess file with this content and placing it in your main forum directory: [I]php_flag magic_quotes_sybase 0[/I] 7. [For multiple white pages] You have added code to your header, headinclude or phpinclude templates that is no longer functional. [For white pages in a select area] You have added code to one of your templates that is causing this problem.
Folder user: test
Folder pass: test
Code:
8. You have a corrupted template. Repairing the template table may help: [I]REPAIR TABLE template; [/I]
Code:
9. You have GZIP enabled. Try turning GZIP off here: [B]Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> GZIP HTML Output -> No[/B] Or by running these queries in the SQL tab in phpMyAdmin: [I]UPDATE setting SET value = '0' WHERE varname = 'gzipoutput';[/I] [I]UPDATE datastore SET data=REPLACE(data,'s:10:"gzipoutput";i:1;','s:10:"gzipoutput";i:0;') WHERE title='options';[/I] You can also edit config.php and add this right under the <?php line to disable GZIP: [I]DEFINE('NOZIP', 1);[/I]
Code:
10. Sometimes this can also be caused when PHP has the 'display_errors' function turned off. So instead of displaying the actual error so you can see what is wrong, you get a blank page. Look at your phpinfo page and if 'display_errors' is Off or '0', then add this line to your includes/config.php file right under <?php [I]ini_set("display_errors", true);[/I]
Code:
11. Check your phpinfo page to see if suhosin is installed as a module. If it is, this could be the cause of this problem.
