forum display error

When you click on a forum you don't have access to instead of going
to the "you don't have permisson" screen it goes to another page which is
white and says:

There seems to have been a problem with the Flasheclipse Forums database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.

For future reference, right-click on the error page and go to View/Source. That will show the real database error message.

MySQL Error : Unknown table 'post' in field list

This means either your post table is gone (very, very bad!) or you are using a table prefix for the vB database and either your config.php file doesn't not have this table prefix set or you are using a hack or plugin that ignores the table prefix.

Look at the vB database and see if all the table names begin with the same string of characters.

'Fine' in what way exactly? If you are not using a table prefix then this means you have lost all your posts so it's worth the time and effort to make sure about the table prefix first.

phpMyAdmin is a tool that is often installed as part of a Server Control Panel. If you have trouble locating it, please ask your host if it is installed and how to access it, or if an alternative is installed.
