Hi there, my boss recently purchased the new vB install so I have tried to download the newest 4.0.4 and I cant get it past step 2.
Before the replies pile in, I have seen others who have messages saying cannot connect to database, but I dont get those messages. I know I can connect to the database.
I put my membership number in on step 1 and then click the button "Step 2/13" and then I get a white screen with the following 2 messages:
-
PHP Deprecated: mysql_escape_string(): This function is deprecated; use mysql_real_escape_string() instead. in C:\Inetpub\VBulletin\includes\class_core.php on line 726
PHP Warning: mysql_query(): Table 'forum.user' doesn't exist in C:\Inetpub\VBulletin\includes\class_core.php on line 413
-
Then there is no next button or anything that lets me get past this screen.
Would anyone have any idea as to why this would be happenning?
Is 4.0.4 a little unstable at the moment? Perhaps I should go back to an older version?
My set up is:
Win2008 x86 R1 and my PHP setup is:
I have opened up a support ticket but there is still no reply on that one, so would anybody here perhaps have any suggestions as to how I can get it to install? Or any other settings I have missed?
All suggestions appreciated,
Lins.
