[Suite] After upgrading from vBulletin 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 all attachments missing

After I upgraded my site from vBulletin 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 all attachments are gone!

Anyone has experience on this problem?

I haven't taken the vB4 plunge yet but have you gone through the maintenance steps like rebuild ________, etc?

I have fear to loose my attachments in future updates since the main source of content in my website are just attachments. But I have more fear to the attitude of support, problems like this should be solved fast.

Hope to get better releases from now.

That's it!!! Sorry but this 4.0.4 is the most horrible crap I have ever seen since I am a vb customer. I am sorry to say that but it's true!

It would explain a lot, especially the fact that my 4.0.4 isn't broken and everyone else's is, as I did the patches manually.

Nope, rebuilding doesn't work cos the attachments no longer point to valid ones. For all intents and purposes, the attachments are no longer readable.

How did you do the patches manually? We merely followed instructions given by VB staff, and if that's broken, I guess we know where the fault lies.

What I did was simple:

1. Upload 4.04PL files
2. Upload patch files
3. Ran upgrade script

Result: Attachments disappeared.
