    [Forum] facebook connect and vb4.0.4

hey ive just upgrade to vb4.0.4 on my vbtest platfrom.

anyway when i try to connect my facebook account and hit "link accounts"

    i get this :

Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: Unable to access in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 275

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 281

Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: Unable to access in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 275

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 281

in addition i get a few errors that say that some fields in the registration werent fill right or at all . these are a profile fields that need to be filled in the registration although i did it when i was logged in with my vb account .

Did you update the required info in the admincp as it now uses a different method of connecting to fb?

do the following, I had the same problem

You have open_basedir restrictions on your server. To get uploads to work you need to create a 'tmp' subdirectory under your main hosting directory and chmod it to 777. Then in the Admin CP set "Upload In Safe Mode?" to 'Yes' and point the "Safe Mode Temp Directory" to that directory.

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Safe Mode Temporary Directory

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Safe Mode Upload Enabled -> Yes
make a folder inside your forum root, and call it tmp

and chmod it to 777, and enter the path to that folder in the Server settings, and you're done, it should work now

ok it fixed the "warning problem"

          but still it says

<H2 class=blockhead>The following errors occurred during your registration
          • A required field called XXX is missing or has an invalid value.
          • A required field called XXXXXXX is missing or has an invalid value.
          • A required field called XXXXXXXX is missing or has an invalid value.
          </H2>
all the XXX fields are fields that ive added as apart of the registration,

though i dont understand how it has to do with it because when i try to link, im already registered.

          thanks.

Are those fields added User Profile Fields? Do you want to require them at registration?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

i am requiring them at registration. and yes, these are fields that ive created manually (such as sex and city..)

but again, i am already registered and connected to the forum when i try to link with my facebook account , so why is it happened at all ? ?

              thanks/

Some problem here. The system needs to ignore required fields when linking accounts and ask for the info later.
