[Forum] I have a problem with the search index of vbulletin 4.0.2 PL1

I have a problem with the search index of vbulletin 4.0.2 PL1
The forum has 76.236 threads and 3.938.661 posts. The post table is about 1.5 gigabyte large.
The problem is that the search index table has grown to almost 6 gigabyte! large which is almost 5 times the amount of the post table and therefore too large to handle.
Btw I dropped the searc index because, it was getting too large to handl


I also start a support ticket a month a go but till now no answer of vbulletin

Any idea what is happening here?

ACP > Maintenance > Update Counters > Scroll down to: Rebuild Search Index > Click link in box that says: Delete search index > Go have a drink > When completed click the button at the bottom of the box that says: Rebuild Index > Go have another drink > Come back and it should be done.
I find mine bloats up if I don't clean and rebuild from time to time.

4M posts? Go have dinner, a drink, watch the game, get some sleep, go to work, come home, check to make sure its still updating, have another beer, eat dinner, and repeat for a few days. lol
