    [Forum] Bodies of some posts don't take up entire post body area

    I'm not sure if this is considered a bug or not, but some posts are only taking up around 60% of the width of the post body area. Some posts take up the entire body area. I'm not able to determine why some do and some don't. It doesn't seem to be related to using quick reply vs. advanced but I could be wrong.

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Yes, it happens when you do Go Advanced. If you do a Quick Reply then it will post across the entire width.

      Eh? Is this *seriously* an issue after a maintenance release?

      This whole scenario seems to be getting worse by the day.

        If this is just the first and last posts's on each page of a thread then this is a bug that's already been fixed for 4.0.2. To fix this just now, find this code in the postbit or postbit_legacy template depending on which you use:

        Code:
        <div class="content<vb:if condition="$post['isfirstshown'] || $post['islastshown']"> has_ad</vb:if>">
        and change it to this:

        Code:
        <div class="content<!--<vb:if condition="$post['isfirstshown'] || $post['islastshown']"> has_ad</vb:if>-->">
        If you subsequently want to place an ad in there, simply uncomment that section out.

        - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

          There should be a way to bookmark threads like this as they prove to be the most useful in the box of vBand-Aids.
          s.molinari - I would like to ask all customers to definitely feedback issues with the software and be specific with the issues, but to basically suck-up what happened in the past and try to just look forward.

            I hadn't noticed that being the case but apparently it is.

              It doesn't look good how some of the post and the quote alligning so small while the other posts take up the entire body area. *sighs*I would really prefer if the old version or 4.0 since I have no problem with them. The new level seems like a whole mess to me. But either way, I really hope the vb team can fix this soon with the upgrade in 4.0.2

                I agree. Just had this error reported to me by several users. From all these bugs it sounds like someone rushed this thing out the door waaaaaaay to soon.

                          I did, but that's not the point.

                              No. I think things should work as designed and as purchased. And if said things aren't done properly, at least instruct how to make them function until the next release, which it two to three weeks away. I'm not a software designer and I have no desire to be.

                              Nice attempt in minimizing what I was saying, though.
