The popular toolbar available from Google is not fully compatible with VB4. It is fully compatible with VB3.8. This is not necessarily a problem with the vb4 software, but it should be a concern. I'm just asking if anyone knows what the problem is

I've already asked about the Google Toolbar Spell Check issue here http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...80#post1957880, but drew a blank like you appear to be doing.

Is IPB compatible with the Google Toolbar Spell Checker?
Would be great marketing: "Our main compeition is not compatible with google"

This is more of a css issue. Even google docs has issues with their own toolbar spellchecker. Sometimes I miss the old days when css was nonexistant or at least not used to define structure. All this work to try and mimic tables, many years, and we still are not there yet.

            excuse the spelling errors

Has anyone put in a bug report about this? I am unable to find a recent bug related to this.

Just reported it as a bug. Apologies if it's already reported, but I couldn't find it.

The bug is quite simple. Google spellcheck does not work. When you click on google spellcheck (from the browser bar in IE), instead of google highlighting the text and misspelled words, the post field goes blank. Turn off google spellcheck, and the post field data reappears.

Google spellcheck is simply the most useful thing out there, and it has to be supported ASAP.

It has been confirmed as a bug and the issue is related to the wysiwyg editor. A temporary fix is to use the standard editor, then the Google Spellchecker works.

                      Hope this helps.

The joys of VB4. I use Opera when posting on sites that are running VB4 for the above reason.
One of the single most annoying bugs imo with VB4 series.
                              .
