[CMS] Thoughts on SEO with the new 4.0 suite from 3.x forum

Any thoughts on best practices to keep Google search placements?

I want to make the CMS page the home page. The plan is to move the forum files to the root and install the suite in the root directory. The concern I have is all the links on Google will probably 404, no?

What is everyone doing about this?

My thoughts, it would be useful if I could get it to work! Made post, sent in a support ticket with nothing!! Went into this thread and tried everything from beginning to end, http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...=1#post1883419 Frustrated cause I have lost I want to do and I dont want to have to go back and change links later!!

You'd best follow the two threads in the bug tracker currently regarding this issue, with people trying to get it so we can have the CMS in root and forums in a directory of our choosing. A solution has been promised for 4.0.1, but it does seem to be less than what we were asking for.
