Having trouble in displaying smilies page/list

hi there

i have some 700 smilies in the list.
i have only 20 smilies displayed during a message reply or creation of new thread and if a user is interested in seeing the whole list, this freezes the frame and the browser starts to act funny. Eventually we have to then close down the browser and restart again but whenever we click for more smilies list, the same problem occurs.

could anyone tell what the problem might be?

Too many animated gifs on one page is overloading the browser's memory. Reduce the number of smilies or add memory to the computer.
