    Log File Location and Filename

I'm trying to setup my log files and I have a few questions.

    1) For the admin control, panel, php, and email logs do to create the files first? or will vBulletin create these automatically the first time it needs to do so.

    2) I'm assuming it wants 3 filenames (e.g. acpLogs.log, phpLogs.log, emailLogs.log)?

    3) What permissions should the logs folder be set to? Does it need to be 777?

    Thanks.

It creates the files itself. Don't create the files. The directory needs to be set to chmod 777. Also, do not put the file extension on the filenames. Those are added automatically.

So should I just put the directory in the textbox, or put:

      Code:
      whateverPath/logs/php_log_file
and then let VB make it
      Code:
      php_log_file.log

You put the path including the file name without the extension like

        /path/to/log/file/directory/log_file_name_without_extension
