The directory in that error either does not exist, or it is not world-readable and writable (chmod777.) You need to check and correct both situations to fix this error.

there is no "var" or "tmp" directory on MySQO or in on my server. i am not sure how to edit it. i know how to edit permissions, i just don't know what folder

there is no way i can do this myself? i have a Virtually Private Server with iPower web. and if i have to go to them, what exactly is it i am asking for?

can't i just FTP to the server and do that myself? After they/I create that directory, what do I add? The problem will be fixed just by adding that directory and chmod it to 777?

i don't remember seeing this on my old server though [i recently transfered, dec 21st, 2005]. what about that "var" directory? i don't know what that is , do i have to add that as well?
