    [Forum] Help with Reputation system

    Hey all-

I've got a newly installed 4.2.0 suite installed, the impex for phpbb3 was used for importing data.
The reputation system doesn't seem to be working quite right. There's no reputationlink on the posts, no reputation tab in the profiles. There is the rep power icons displaying under the user titles. I've enabled everything I could think of regarding the rep system and ran all the general update tools. Still no go....

Am I missing something? Can someone please chime in on this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Shortbus,

Nice name, lol. Welcome to vBulletin.

Have you enabled the reputation system in vBulletin options?

Does your user group have permissions to give reputation?

Are the forum's reputation options set to Yes?

      >> Thanks, I got a chuckle when I came up with it, thought others might too

Have you enabled the reputation system in vBulletin options?
      >> Affirmative, "Enable User Reputation system" set to yes

Does your user group have permissions to give reputation?
      >> Affirmative:
"Can See Who Left User Ratings" = yes
      "Can Use Reputation" = yes
"Can Hide Reputation from Others" = no
"Can Leave Negative Reputation" = yes
"Can View Reputation Tab in User Profiles" = yes

Are the forum's reputation options set to Yes?
      >> Lordy be, ya got me there! That must be the only place I didn't look for rep options! Set to yes & I get the sherrif badges, wooohooo!

Thanks so much Big Dan! That'll leave me with at least a little hair left on my noggin tonight

It's not your fault the option has to be enabled in 3 separate places (vB Options, User Groups, and Forums) it's a little confusing. vB is very robust which is a good thing but sometimes things are needlessly complex (IMHO).
